The PoSH Fraud Act and Local Council Tax Reduction Scheme regulations gave investigators statutory powers to obtain information directly from a variety of sources. Due to the intrusive nature of the powers, before being authorised, organisations will wish to be certain that each Authorised Officer knows exactly how the powers may be used.
This course covers the powers, when they may be used and how to use them. It identifies the differences between each grant of the powers and relationship between these powers and acquisition of Communications Data using RIPA. It includes the use of DPA requests, when AO or RIPA does not provide a route to the information you need, and the use of PoCA powers during an investigation.
By the end of the training you will be able to justify your actions and show that you were acting lawfully ;Â subject to passing an assessment delegates, will receive certification in order that they may be authorised to use the powers.

Please ensure that you include delegate names in the comment box.
