Whether you’re a qualified Investigator who needs to spread their wings, or you’re working in Council Tax and need to know more about fraud, this intensive course is for you.
Here you’ll discover all you need to know about the background to Council Tax and the Local Council Tax Support/Reduction Scheme. You’ learn what powers are (and, more importantly, what they are not). You’ll cover the basic rules about criminal investigation, discuss prevention of fraud and review the various remedies open to you. As a bonus, you’ll also have the opportunity to consider potential frauds against Council Tax itself and the NNDR scheme.
This course is also appropriate for managers and directors who need to understand the work their staff will be undertaking as Councils adopt and police the new scheme.
