Brian Harvey
NLP Practitioner and Trainer
Brian joined the civil service straight from school in 1971, and had various benefit related jobs such as benefit processing, visiting officer and regional reserve before joining the Benefit Fraud Team in 1986. He joined Organised Fraud in 1988 where he first met Mike Neumann. In 1994 he moved to Yorkshire and became the generic Training Contract Manager for Yorkshire Region and Central Services. In 1998 Brian joined the DWP Fraud & Security Training Team becoming involved in design and development, as well as delivery.
Brian’s proudest moments include completing the coast to coast walk from St Bees to Robin Hoods Bay, “…along with my wife and her chief bridesmaid. None of us were spring chickens!”, and his graduation day at the University of Portsmouth, when he received his degree from Sheila Hancock – the chancellor of the university.
When not working, Brian spends much of his time on his allotment (which he's now had for 17 years), playing tennis, watching sports and travelling. He's also the proud owner of vintage cars, which he can be seen driving around Yorkshire in whatever spare time remains. Brian's a keen cook (something he says is evident from his svelte figure) and has been known to take a glass or two of wine.
