Mike Neumann
NLP Master Practitioner and Trainer
Mike began his business life with the Civil Service, investigating (amongst other things) organised crime. After a period running computer systems and managing budgets, he decided to escape and set up his first training company, teaching criminal investigation. Fast forward a few years and he is at the forefront of investigations training, providing a market leading qualification, and is an acknowledged public speaker.
Having first been introduced to the subject as part of a ‘train the trainer’ course many years ago, Mike is now a certified Trainer of NLP and runs many of Foresight’s courses. He also pops up, from time to time, helping out some other trainers with their events. He was a founder of the NLPLondon.co.uk website and practice group and is one of the founding members of IBNLP.
He’s quite good at all this NLP stuff – one kind person described seeing him work as akin to watching Darcy Bussell dance (albeit without the tights and frilly skirt) – and loves using language to effect changes with people.
Mike says, "NLP showed me how to move from ‘effect’ to ‘cause’. As a result I own a number of companies, drive the car and ride the motorbike I choose. I travel the world and spend most of my life smiling and enjoying what I do. How did NLP do this? By making me realise that I choose my behaviour!"
In his spare time Mike is very much into music, having both played in a rock band and trained as an opera singer in the past. His hobbies include Egyptology, mountaineering, cooking, Italian wines and holidays. Mike lives in a big, old house in the country with his wife Jill, son Alexander and Toffee, their Siamese cat.
