We want to create an inclusive standard for the normally used
certification levels of the Art & Science that is NLP. This
is not going to be a count of the number of days or hours spent in
training - it’s about agreeing the competence that each level of
certification should guarantee. If you think that equates to the
number of hours spent in training then this board is not for you!
We
also don’t care who teaches you (or how you learn - we understand the
different learning preferences). It’s about the skills you
possess, not the way(s) in which you obtained those skills.
We’re
concerned that there is no consistency across NLP certification boards
and too much time spent arguing over ‘contact hours’ - what message
does this send to both lay and professional people within the
psychology and business worlds.
We don’t want to create a
new standard, we want to gain a consensus for the skills that must be
demonstrated, and the core content of all : ¨ Practitioner certification courses ; ¨ Business Practitioner certification courses ; ¨ Master Practitioner certification courses ; and ¨ Trainer certification courses.
We also think that it is important to agree the assessment methods that will be used.
If you want to be part of this, email me2@ibnlp.org and we’ll tell you how you can help to influence the future of NLP!
