Sometimes the most important thing is to be sure about the person you’re talking to. Whether you’re working in customer service, are an employer going through recruitment, are offering someone a service, or have staff that are customer facing, you need to be confident about people’s identity and that their documentation – whatever they produce – is genuine and that their identity ‘checks out’.
Attending this course will give you the confidence to check ID documents, spot the signs of forgery and counterfeiting, and speak to the right people when you’re suspicious. The course also covers the new identity verification (IDV) requirements under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 (ECCTA), and includes practical guidance on how to comply with the government’s official five-part verification process. You will learn not only how to assess documents and identity claims, but also how to apply the structured checks now expected in regulated and corporate settings.
